Emily is a passionate Occupational Therapist who is dedicated to helping children and their families thrive through meaningful, family centred care. She believes that parents and caregivers are the experts in their child’s life and values working in partnership with families to create therapy that is individualised, collaborative and aligned with what matters most to them.
Emily’s approach to therapy is centred around connection, trust and play. She strives to create a safe, supportive and fun environment where children feel comfortable to explore, build confidence and develop new skills. By making therapy engaging and enjoyable, children often do not even realise they are working towards their goals.
Emily has a strong interest in sensory processing and understands the significant impact it can have on a child’s participation in everyday life. She is passionate about supporting children to better understand and regulate their bodies, emotions and responses to the world around them. By identifying each child’s unique sensory profile, Emily works with families to develop practical, meaningful strategies that promote regulation, independence and participation across home, school and the community.
